Last weekend I was able to tend my old puppy Priscilla. I hadn't seen her in over a year and I couldn't even believe it when she remembered me, it was so cute! I wasn't quite sure how Katie would handle it. Let's just say she wasn't very shareful.
Katie was crazy jealous of Priscilla. She was really nice and never nipped at her or anything, but oh man she did not want me giving ANY attention to Priscilla. Since I am a jealous personal too, I don't blame her!
The funniest part was the first night. Neither of the dogs would sleep because Priscilla wanted to be on the bed but Katie isn't allowed. I kept seeing Priscilla's little head popping up and down at the side of the bed, wanting to get up. And Katie pacing back and forth at the bottom of the bed being put out by strange small rat-like creature that had encroached upon her territory.
I could tell they would soon wake up Jared so I thought it best to lay down stairs on the couch so they both could lay by me. As soon as I layed on the couch Katie got up and lay right on top of me. Her attitude to Priscilla couldn't be more clear, "Don't touch MY Mom". So sassy. I was too tired to care so we slept like that. Katie laying right on top of me and Priscilla on the other couch not daring to test Katie's patience.
After a day or two they were much better and I think they would have been best Friends by the end, but Jared and I had to leave to Vegas for a family emergency. My awesome sister Natalie tended the girls for me. She said it was quite the adventure. Especially when she took Katie on a walk and Katie got in a fight with THREE different dogs! Oh my poor sister!
